Environment and Health

As a key member of the Greens/EFA Group in the European Parliament, Keith is passionately committed to protecting people and planet from the worst effects of climate change and environmental degradation. He will work alongside colleagues in the EP to strengthen the EU’s climate policy, and will put pressure on the UK government to secure a binding global agreement on emissions reductions. He says: “It’s time to start living on this planet as if we mean to stay.” Keith will also push for better regulation of the toxic chemicals in our everyday environment, and for more research into the environmental causes of diseases such as cancer.
