Animal Rights

September 20th, 2009

As Vice President of the European Parliament’s Animal Welfare Intergroup and the Green Party Animals spokesperson, Keith is fiercely committed to protecting the rights of animals. He continues to campaign against EU subsidies for bull-fighting, and against the UK Government’s hideous badger cull. Keith has called for a ban on all fur imports, an end to cruel industrialised farming practices, and a gradual phasing out of the use of animals in experiments. As a long-standing member of the Animal Welfare Intergroup, Keith will continue to work hard to promote higher standards of animal welfare across the EU.

Keith also releases a regular newsletter on animal welfare called ‘Making Tracks’, alongside his fellow UK Green MEPs, Jean Lambert and Molly Scott Cato. If you would like to subscribe to Making Tracks please sign up here.
