Issues

Brexit

Brexit, of any type, is not in Britain’s interest. Keith was a passionate Remain campaigner. The majority of voters in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire and Surrey, East and West Sussex voted Remain. Across the South East, more than 48% of people did the same. Keith is fighting to ensure the voices of the 48% aren't sidelined while the voices of the 100% have the final say on any Brexit deal.

Animals

Keith has the honour of representing the Green Party as its Animals Spokesperson. Greens have consistently and unwaveringly defended animals. Compassion for animals is in the Party's DNA. Keith has pledged to stand shoulder to shoulder with animal advocates across the UK in the face of a challenging future.

Environment and Health

As a member of the European Parliament's Environment and Public Health Committee and European Chair of the Climate Parliament, Keith is passionately committed to protecting people and planet from the worst effects of climate change and environmental degradation and upholding their rights to a healthy life.

Transport and Aviation

As a member of the European Parliament's Transport Committee, Keith is dedicated to helping build truly integrated and sustainable mobility infrastructure that rejects the antiquated notion that 'car is king.' Keith believes in putting public transport in the hands of the public. He is committed campaigner against airport expansion.

Democracy

From a second chamber overstuffed with unelected peers and religious leaders to the royal prerogative, via a grossly unrepresentative electoral system that routinely silences the voice of the majority of Britons, democracy is broken. Keith campaigns to give life to real and representative democracy in Britain.

Peace and Human Rights

Keith is a committed nuclear disarmament campaigner and a proponent of peace. Like all Greens, he is also a staunch defender of the fundamental rights of people across the world. Keith is fighting against the British Government's attempts to discard the EU's Charter of Fundamental Rights post-Brexit.

Green Economy and Trade

There is only one planet; it cannot sustain ever more growth. Neither is a growth a useful measure of the health of a society; inequality is an essential function of a neoliberal economic paradigm. Tinkering around the edges will not solve the inexorable economic, social and environmental challenges we face.

Food and Farming

Keith is a vocal campaigner against giant agribusiness and the cruelty of the intensive and factory farming processes it necessitates. Keith also fights against the dangerous amount of control of our foodchains handed over to agrochemical corporations - and the means by which that control is exerted through the pervasive use of GMOs and toxic pesticides.
